Who we are
Laser Fume Solutions is a service and spare parts business for industrial fume extraction and dust collection equipment. We are part of the Profile Cutting Systems Group.
Profile Cutting Systems has been designing, installing and servicing CNC profile cutting machinery in Australia since 1989, working from Campbellfield in Melbourne’s north. Decades of that work has been on plasma and flame profile cutting tables — which means extraction, ducting, dust collection and the practical realities of keeping heavy plant running in a fabrication shop are not a sideline for us. They are the job.
Laser Fume Solutions exists because the fume extractor is consistently the most orphaned component in a laser cell. It arrives as part of a machine package, it gets connected, and then nobody owns it. When it eventually needs a filter or a pulse valve, the machine dealer either does not carry the parts, has moved on to a different supplier, or is no longer in the picture at all.
Meanwhile the extractor is quietly determining your cut quality, your consumable life, and the air your people breathe.
What we actually do
- Supply replacement cartridge filters and spare parts for Topsinn TODC series and other industrial dust collectors
- Service, repair and troubleshoot extraction systems on plate lasers, tube lasers and plasma and oxy profile cutting tables
- Attend breakdowns, and just as often solve them over the phone before anyone gets in a vehicle
- Commission, relocate and re-duct extraction systems
- Test and report on whether an existing system is actually performing to specification
- Give straight advice on sizing and suitability — including when the answer is that you do not need to spend money

We think being clear about this is worth more than any marketing claim.
We are not the Australian agent or distributor for Topsinn. We are not affiliated with Topsinn or Dongguan Dingxin Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd, we are not authorised or endorsed by them, and we do not represent them. We service their equipment and supply parts to suit it, in exactly the way an independent workshop services a vehicle without being the dealership.
If you want factory-authorised support, contact the manufacturer or their appointed distributor. If you want independent support that turns up and fixes the extractor, that is us.

Why independent works for extraction
Industrial dust collectors are largely assembled from standard industrial components — fans, motors, solenoid valves, contactors, timer boards, cartridge filters. Very little of a dust collector is genuinely proprietary.
That is why the aftermarket works here in a way it does not for, say, a laser source. When a manufacturer-specific part is unavailable or twelve weeks away, there is very often a functionally equivalent industrial component that will have you cutting tomorrow.
Knowing which is which is the actual skill.
How we work
- Diagnose before we sell. A surprising number of extraction faults are compressed air or a setting, not a filter.
- Say what a part is. Genuine or equivalent, stated on the quote, every time.
- Give the honest answer. Including when it is “this unit has had its day” or “leave it alone, it is fine”.
- Explain the why. If you understand differential pressure, you will stop having emergencies. That is a better outcome than selling you more emergency filters.

Parts are freighted anywhere in Australia. On-site service is arranged by region — based in Melbourne, travelling as required.
