Fume extraction by laser machine brand
We service the extractor, not the laser. Whoever supplied your plate or tube machine, the dust collector behind it is separate equipment — and it can be supported independently.
Australia imports plate and tube laser cutting machines from a wide range of manufacturers, and the fume extraction unit is very often sourced separately from the laser itself — sometimes bundled into the machine package by the dealer, sometimes bought locally, sometimes inherited with a second-hand machine and never documented at all.
That separation is good news when you need support. The extraction unit does not care which laser it is connected to, and neither do we. If the machine dealer has moved on, lost interest, or never carried extraction parts in the first place, the extractor can still be maintained.
The most useful thing you can do
Go and photograph the rating plate on the side of your dust collector cabinet. Not the laser — the extractor. That plate identifies the model, the airflow, and the electrical requirement, and it is all we need to start. Send it through here.

Components commonly fitted to these machines
Imported plate and tube lasers are assembled from a fairly small pool of component suppliers, and the same names come up again and again on machines running Topsinn extraction. They are listed here purely to help you identify what you have. This business looks after the extraction unit — if you need help with the machine itself, ask and we will point you to the right place.

Worth knowing for extraction: laser source power is the number that most often changes underneath an extractor. A shop that upgrades from a 3 kW to a 12 kW source on the same table cuts far faster and generates far more fume per hour — while the dust collector behind it stays exactly the same size. If your source has been upgraded and your extractor has not, that is worth checking.

What changes between brands — and what doesn’t
What changes
- Table zoning and damper design, which affects how much of the extractor’s airflow actually lands under the cutting head.
- Duct take-off position and size, which sets your available static pressure budget.
- Whether extraction is interlocked with the machine control, or just switched on manually and forgotten.
- Whether a tube attachment or rotary axis was fitted later without reassessing the collector.
- What the dealer bundled — and whether anyone kept the documentation.
What doesn’t
- Cartridge filters are a consumable with a finite, material-dependent life on every machine ever built.
- Pulse-jet cleaning needs clean, dry compressed air at the specified pressure, on every machine ever built.
- Differential pressure is the number that tells you the truth, on every machine ever built.
- Door and dust bin seals leak eventually, on every machine ever built.
- A blinded filter makes the fan work harder and shortens motor life, on every machine ever built.
Which is the whole point: extraction is a discipline of its own. The badge on the laser is largely irrelevant to keeping the dust collector working.
